“Flushable” Wipes

The Authority recently experienced a sanitary sewer main blocked entirely by “flushable” wipes. Regardless of the packaging, “flushable” wipes should not be flushed! They are bad for the sanitary sewer system as well as the pump station equipment. Please read this article published in Keystone Water Quality Manager magazine in 2019.
